Anthony's reaction!

Well Sarah decided to come clean and admit to being sneaky! Phew! I think we were all getting a bit sick of trying to think of good excuses for taking photos! Here was Anthony's reaction to this Blog:

WWHATT THHE???

You sneaky little beavers! I'm completely overwhelmed - and immensely pleased! It's been like living with the Stasi here lately - with all this surreptitious photography going on. It sounds like Pucca's been pulling his strings lately, but I really didn't understand the reason Chris murmured for taking a photo in the shop - now all is revealed! One probable thing I remember from my University days (and it was days) - was "to be perceived is to exist" - I think that somehow fits - so thank you all!

It's nice to have sneaky friends, I'm very lucky!

Don't Leave Home Without Some Andy Tomine

Here are two postcards that are keeping me company in Melbourne, extracted from a book of Tomine postcards.

The second postcard is a portrait of E from the band the Eels, a band i like, a lot.

Some Skimma stuff hanging out

Here's some of my Miw-cats hanging out in the window of Pocket Space! Also next to them is the last of my Nungy-bones! Don't they look cute? If you look carefully, you might be able to see Anthony working away in the back-ground!

Spikey Organic Art

One of my favourite books that I have found in Pocket Space (and cards) is "Art Forms In Nature" by Ernst Haeckel. I admit I looked at the large and lovely hard back for a few months before it was bought for me as a Christmas present. I have several of the postcards, which are plates from the book, on the wall at home. So inspirational!

Badges

I love Pocket Space's one inch, button badge machine! It is such an easy way to transfer your art, funky images, or just interesting paper you may have to a cool wearable object. I have used several of the badges I have made by placing them on the front of a card and giving them as a present for a birthday. I think it is a good way to personalise a card that can go beyond a day.

The badge machine is near the heater, so it is inviting for our Hobart winters :-) If you don't feel inspired that day to make a badge yourself, there are pre-made ones too, some so cute you can't resist adopting (I have done so and they now live on my back pack). Actually, I find it difficult to stop myself from adopting a lot of things in the store... :-)

Cool Mural

In-store mural by Ghostpatrol and Miso. Too cool for school.

P.S. Keep an eye out for the new Pocketspace logo by Hobart's one-and-only Cat Rabbit. Yay!

New Fan

I love Moxy, my new UglyDoll. Thanks Pocketspace! Smudgy paws and cuddles, Pucca x
